What does the Council do?

We have an elected chair and  vice-chair.  We have a clerk who is responsible for keeping records and correspondence. During our meetings, we deal with local issues that are important to the community – such as public paths, roads, drainage, buildings, and any concerns raised by the public. We will give opinions on planning applications before sending our comments to the County Council. We set a precept every year. We will occasionally receive visitors to the meetings, such as our Community Police Officer or our local MP. Anyone from the public is welcome to attend the meetings.
